Tanisha “Tish” Frederick is the visionary Founder and Executive Director of Beautiful As You Are (B.A.Y.A), an organization dedicated to empowering young girls through self-love, self-reliance, and self-care. Inspired by her daughter's struggles with bullying and mental distress, Tish established the BAYA program in 2014 to combat feelings of inadequacy and foster empowerment. Since then, BAYA has expanded to 52 schools across Southern Indiana and Louisville, KY, reaching over 800 girls monthly. Under Tish’s leadership, the BAYA Corporation launched its first BAYA Center in Clarksville, IN, in 2020, providing a unique space for girls to build resilience and learn essential coping techniques.
As the first center of its kind in the region, the BAYA Center offers a range of services, including a decompression room, weekly roundtable discussions, and interactive empowerment workshops. It also features various relaxation activities like yoga, dance, and exercise, all designed to help girls manage stress in healthy, positive ways.
As a certified Life Coach, Tish has authored four volumes of the BAYA curriculum, along with four journals and affirmation facilitator cards, expanding BAYA's reach beyond her local community to a global audience. She shares her expertise through speaking engagements, webinars, school assemblies, and workshops nationwide, spreading the transformative message of self-love and empowerment and its impact on young girls.
Tish is dedicated to empowering girls through her unique coaching strategy, developed from years of experience working with girls. She now offers personalized one-on-one coaching for those who prefer a more private setting. This tailored approach ensures that each girl receives the support and guidance she needs to thrive and transform her life.
